ABOUT WAVENEY HOME CARE

We are a local Lowestoft based care agency established since 2003. Our team of over 70 carers is lead by a strong management team, with 24 hour support and contact available. The Managing Director is a registered general nurse with over 25 yrs experience. We provide support for around 200 people in our area. We are a major care provider in Suffolk and are accredited by the CQC.  We are members of the UKHCA.

All of our staff have training in the following:

  • Health and safety
  • Fire prevention
  • First aid and life support
  • Infection control
  • Food hygiene
  • Safeguarding
  • Moving and handling
  • Medication management

 

 

We provide training up to level 5 NVQ in Health & Social Care, all of our carers have individual career plans and are regularly supervised and trained. 
 

Specialised training is tailored to our service user's needs should they be complex.  We work closely with nurses, GPs, social workers, occupational therapists and physio therapists, as required. 

Quality is paramount.  All service users are contacted frequently to ensure they are happy and their needs are being met. We have a robust whistleblowing and complaints policy.
